Twisted Coloring Book School Fundraiser
A little background: I fell in love with anamorphic art decades ago and was so smitten that I had software written to distort pictures and went on to invent “Morph-O-Scopes®” coloring and drawing toys that have earned dozens of educational honors and enchanted thousands of kids, parents, grandparents, media reviewers, and devoted fans world-wide. In fact, OOZ & OZ is the ONLY company in the entire world creating magical, award-winning anamorphic art activities for children!
Then I had a FUNDRAISER BRAINSTORM!!! Let children do their own little five-inch drawings which OOZ & OZ would morph for free. Drawings can be done by children of any age, any culture, either in school, during extended care or at home. They can be the child’s choice of subject, or be tied to any unit of study. PTSA volunteers would help with copying and comb binding since that equipment is usually already on site. Now kids sell their OWN custom “Twisted Coloring Books” as fundraisers - not other people’s stuff!
Like the idea? We think the Twisted Coloring Book School Fundraiser is a natural for schools ready to step outside the box! A unique, engaging, interdisciplinary endeavor! A fun introduction to optical physics and to playful mind-challenging visual illusions – for all ages! An entrepreneurial venture in which children can take pride of ownership! A great way to spark real school spirit!
OOZ & OZ’s Pilot Phase and Crowd Funding projects launch in fall of 2012. I invite all teachers, schools and PTSA volunteers to participate in this Phase of the Project. In appreciation, every participating school will receive an award-winning Morph-O-Scopes Kit of their choice and a custom morph of their own school mascot.
